Jim Clayton joined Strategies for Wealth in September 2004 after 19 years as a NYSE floor broker where he owned and ran his own brokerage firm called Integra Securities. Jim and his wife Gaylene had been clients of Strategies for eight years and realized it was a natural fit to join the firm upon his retiring from the hectic pace of the NYSE floor. He saw firsthand the benefits of having a financial roadmap to work off of both in good times and tough times over the years.

Jim has a tremendous passion for guiding people and takes great pride in the impact that strategic planning has on his clients. He takes a holistic view on planning and does not come to his clients with any preconceived notions. Jim carefully evaluates client's goals and creates a blueprint that gives every client control over their financial future.

A graduate of Providence College, Jim earned his BS in Marketing/Management. He is the father of three daughters, Courtney, Lauren and Nicole. Out of the office he can be found coaching soccer in his hometown of Brookfield, CT, as well as waterskiing on Candlewood Lake. He loves to play golf and snow ski in the cold winter months. He also enjoys traveling with his family.
