About Bobby:

Bobby Angel comes to Strategies for Wealth from a unique vantage point and with a fervent belief in the “protection first” perspective. Prior to joining the agency, he worked in the Sports industry where he helped start a fledgling Sports Consulting firm and also worked for the New York Knicks in a variety of roles, notably as the beat writer for the team website. While there, he obtained an MS in Sports Business, Marketing and Management with a concentration in Finance from NYU. Prior to that, he worked as a teacher while obtaining an MA in Literature from the CUNY Graduate Center.

Having seen in his family and friends the debilitating effects of a financial strategy focused solely on wealth accumulation, with no attention paid to the process of protecting those gains, Bobby was compelled to join Strategies for Wealth in the hope of guiding others to avoid those pitfalls. He has found the macro-economic approach to financial planning particularly compelling, both in his own world and in that of his clients, and he enjoys knowing that those who work with him are completely prepared for whatever threats, obligations, and opportunities that come their way.

Bobby currently lives in Park Slope, Brooklyn with his wife, Selene and his two children, Jade (4) and Dylan(1). He has a love for travel, having lived in Madrid for a year, London for eight years, as well as having spent extensive time in myriad locales, ranging from South Korea to South Africa, from Havana to Prague. Bobby is also an avid Sports fan and is committed to various causes, including working with inner-city youth and with varied charities and community organizations.
