Robert A. Clarfeld is the founder and President of Clarfeld Financial Advisors, Inc. A recognized authority on financial planning, investments and estate planning, he has extensive experience counseling professionals and senior corporate executives, often in connection with employer sponsored financial planning programs. He is the chairman of the firm's Investment Policy Committee.

Mr. Clarfeld is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Financial Planner^®, Personal Financial Specialist and Chartered Life Underwriter. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, (AICPA)the Financial Planning Association, (FPA) the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute (CFA Institute) and the Association for Advanced Life Underwriting (AALU). Mr. Clarfeld has served on the Executive Committee of the AICPA's Personal Financial Planning Division, and has chaired its Investment Services Task Force, and past Investment Planning Conferences.

He is chairman of the Westchester Public Issues Institute and a member of the board of directors for the Westchester County Association. Mr. Clarfeld serves on the boards of several not-for-profit organizations.

Mr. Clarfeld holds B.A. and M.B.A. degrees from The City University of New York. Prior to founding Clarfeld & Company in 1981, he was employed by Arthur Young & Company (now Ernst & Young) and Peat, Marwick, Mitchell, & Company (now KPMG), international CPA firms.
